4. At an ATM

Checking your EBT Cash funds can be done at certain ATMs.

Insert your Connecticut EBT card at an ATM that displays the NYCE or QUEST logo. You can make two free balance checks or cash withdrawals per month.
Enter your PIN, choose “Balance Inquiry,” and then pick “Checking” to view your available EBT Cash amount.

An ATM inquiry will only show your EBT Cash funds, not your SNAP benefits. To check your SNAP amount, you can call the customer service line or use the Benny app.

To find a location that does not charge a fee, you can use an online ATM locator or call 1-888-328-2666 and follow the prompts for “Free ATM locations.”

5. On a Store Receipt

Reviewing your last store receipt is a simple way to see your remaining funds.

Each time you use your EBT card to buy food or withdraw cash, the printed receipt will show your remaining SNAP and EBT Cash amounts at the bottom.

File a police report to document the theft.

Ask the cashier to attempt a manual entry of your card number.
If the card is damaged, you can request a free replacement through customer service. Delivery typically takes 7-10 business days, but you can ask about an emergency food voucher at a DSS field office if you cannot wait.

My PIN Is Locked Or I Forgot It

For security, your card automatically locks after three consecutive incorrect PIN attempts. This can also happen if a new or replacement card was never activated with a PIN.

Dial 1-888-328-2666 and follow the prompts to pick a new 4-digit PIN after verifying your identity.
Avoid using easy-to-guess numbers like 1234, your birth year, or repetitive digits.
You can also change your PIN anytime through the state’s EBT web portal or the MyDSS mobile app after creating an online account.

I Have Difficulty Tracking My Balance
