What Is The RMP And Who's Eligible

The Restaurant Meals Program, or RMP, is a state-level option within SNAP. It allows eligible recipients to purchase prepared hot meals from authorized restaurants using their standard EBT benefits.

Eligibility Requirements

Participation in the RMP is not open to all SNAP households. Eligibility is automatically determined by the state and coded directly onto the EBT card for seamless use at checkout.

To qualify, every member of a household must either be aged 60 or older, have a permanent disability, or be experiencing homelessness. Spouses of eligible members are also included.

No additional funds are provided for this program. Participants use their existing monthly SNAP allotment to pay for restaurant meals. The state determines which restaurants can participate.

Why Doesn't Jersey Mike's Accept EBT?
