Understanding the Minnesota EBT Card

The Minnesota EBT Card functions similarly to a debit or credit card, loaded with food stamps and/or cash benefits. It's accepted at authorized stores. Upon approval for benefits, you'll receive this card. For assistance, contact Minnesota's EBT customer service at 1-888-997-2227.

Applying for Food Stamps

The most straightforward method to apply for food stamps is online through the MNbenefits portal. Alternatively, you can apply in person by reaching out to your local county or tribal human services office or calling the Minnesota SNAP hotline at 1-800-657-3698.

Renewing Your Food Stamps

It's crucial to renew your food stamps before your certification period ends, which typically ranges from 6 to 12 months for most Minnesota households. Confirm your specific certification period with your caseworker.

EBT Deposit Schedule

Benefits are distributed monthly based on the last digit of your case number.

Reporting Changes

To report changes such as income adjustments, household size, or address updates, contact your local county or CES office or call the Minnesota SNAP hotline at 1-800-657-3698.

Replacing a Lost or Stolen EBT Card

If your EBT card is lost or stolen, immediately call the Minnesota EBT customer service at 1-888-997-2227 to report it and request a replacement.
