Applying for Food Stamps
The most straightforward method to apply for food stamps is online through the FSSA Benefits Portal. Alternatively, you can apply in person by reaching out to your local office or calling the Indiana SNAP hotline at 1-800-403-0864.
Renewing Your Food Stamps
It's crucial to renew your food stamps before your certification period ends, which typically ranges from 6 to 12 months for most Indiana households. Confirm your specific certification period with your caseworker.
EBT Deposit Schedule
Benefits are distributed between the 5th and 23rd of each month, determined by the first letter of your last name. For example, if your last name begins with A or B, benefits are available on the 5th of the month.
