After you make a purchase with your Bridge Card, look near the bottom of the receipt for “EBT Food Bal” or “EBT Cash Bal.” This line will show your remaining funds after that transaction.

Using an ATM that accepts EBT cards allows you to print or view your food and EBT Cash totals.

You can insert your Bridge Card at any ATM showing the QUEST or STAR logo. To avoid fees, it is best to find a surcharge-free machine.

Filter your search results by “EBT cash withdrawal” or “no fee” and enter your ZIP code.
Before proceeding with the inquiry, confirm the ATM screen shows a $0 surcharge. If a fee is displayed, cancel the transaction and find another location.

What To Do If Your Benefits Are Stolen

If you see an unfamiliar charge, you must act quickly.

Immediately change your PIN and call the hotline on your card to freeze it.
File a theft report with your local MDHHS office.

Michigan may replace SNAP benefits stolen by fraud between October 1, 2022, and December 20, 2024. This replacement does not cover P-EBT or EBT Cash funds, and is limited to two reimbursements per federal fiscal year.

You will need your card number, Social Security Number, and date of birth.

Damaged Or Unreadable Card

Everyday use can lead to a bent or scratched card. Exposure to heat or magnets can also demagnetize the stripe, causing a “Card read error” at checkout terminals.

Gently wipe the magnetic stripe or chip and try using it at a different card reader.
If it still does not work, call 888-678-8914 to report the issue. A replacement card will be mailed within 5–7 business days, and your balances will be transferred automatically.
While you wait, you can check your balance by asking the customer service representative or by using the ConnectEBT website.

Missing Benefits Due To Late Redetermination

Michigan requires households to complete a yearly redetermination to confirm their eligibility. If this form is not submitted on time or is missing required documents, MDHHS will pause benefit deposits.
