4. Review Your Last Store Or ATM Receipt

Looking at your most recent receipt from a grocery store or an EBT-enabled ATM is a simple way to confirm your funds.

Your remaining SNAP and EBT Cash amounts are printed at the bottom of every receipt after a transaction.

5. Make An ATM Balance Inquiry

Visiting a surcharge-free ATM lets you check your EBT Cash account, though it will not show your SNAP food benefits.

Look for machines with the Quest® or MoneyPass® logo. You can find participating machines using an Allpoint Locator.

Insert your EBT card into a compatible ATM.

What To Do If Your Benefits Are Stolen

Federal rules permit replacing SNAP benefits stolen between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2024. Thefts after this date are not eligible for replacement. If your benefits are stolen within this timeframe, you must act promptly.

Call 888-979-9949 to cancel the card.
Report the theft to the DCBS office at 855-306-8959.
Provide fraud details and sign an affidavit.

Ask the cashier to manually enter your card number or try using a different checkout lane.
If the card continues to fail, call Kentucky EBT Customer Service at 1-888-979-9949 to request a replacement. The first replacement in a calendar year is typically free.
Store your card in a flat paper sleeve to prevent future damage.

Forgotten, Blocked, or Automatically Reset PIN

A PIN can become blocked after four incorrect attempts. Your PIN might also be automatically reset if the DCBS identifies a potential security risk to your account, sometimes prompting you with a text or email to change it.

Call 1-888-979-9949 and follow the prompts to reset your PIN. You will need to confirm your card number, date of birth, and ZIP code.
You can also change your PIN online through the ConnectEBT portal or by visiting a DCBS office kiosk with a photo ID.
Wait at least 30 minutes after changing your PIN before making a purchase to allow the system to update.

Cannot Get an Up-to-Date Balance

It can be difficult to get your current balance when phone lines are busy or the official website has temporary outages. Delays in posting recent purchases can also lead to an inaccurate EBT balance.
